Honeymooners

Always, always, take one! Even if you can't afford an extravagant honeymoon, at least try to get Always Try To Take a Honeymoonaway for a few days after the wedding to relax and unwind and celebrate. If you don't have enough vacation days from work or you can't afford to take a week off,  plan your honeymoon on a holiday or three-day weekend. That way you only have to take three days off and you'll still get a full week of vacation!

Do research. Especially if you are on a budget.  Fully research your trip and this will save you time, money, aggravation and hassle -- not to mention help you avoid the first argument of your married life. If you want to have a footloose and fancy-free, unplanned honeymoon, make sure that at the very least you make a hotel reservation for the first night or two. That way you won't get stuck in a run-down dump.

Buy yourself some new lingerie. Enough said.

Pack separate bags. This way, you only have to keep track of your own stuff, and you can keep your new lingerie a surprise! Also, if you leave a little room in your bag so you'll each have space to put your purchases.

Don't try to do too much too soon. Factor in a few days to just to kick back and enjoy each other's company.

Don't break the bank. Figure out a budget for your honeymoon and make a big effort to stick to it. Make your basic budget and then factor in things like shopping. Stressing out over how you're going to pay for it once you get home is no way to spend the most romantic time in your life.  And most of all enjoy yourself.

 Use a smaller suitcase. If there's space left in your bag, you will fill it. You can't help it. It's just the way peopOverpackers...beware of too much luggagele are.

Make lists. This is a great way to figure out what you really need to bring. Make a list of all the things you are thinking of bringing a few days before you leave. Look at the list three times a day and force yourself to remove the non-essentials.

Lightweight wool and silk are great travel materials. They take up less room in your bag but can keep you warm if it's chilly. Dark colors are less likely to show dirt and wrinkles. If you need to take a bulky garment, consider wearing it on the plane instead of packing it in your luggage.

Take three pairs of shoes maximum, most often two will suffice. Wearing the biggest and bulkiest shoes on the plane saves room and weight in your bag. Chances are, they're also the most comfortable.

Call your hotel and find out if they'll have the iron, hairdryer, and hangers you think you need. If they do, don't pack them.

Use travel-sized toiletries and bring only essential makeup. Clean out your makeup bag or briefcase before you go so you're not lugging around unwanted junk.

 If yBooks, CDs, etc.ou are travelling with a child or have a kid-sized attention span bring some entertaining things to occupy your time while you travel.

A CD player or Walkman and plenty of CDs or tapes.

Audio books. There are thousands of audio book titles available online. This is a wonderful alternBring a variety of toys for the childrenative for people who get sick if they read while in a vehicle.

A Gameboy and a couple of different games. Playing video games with your spouse can actually be quite romantic.

A deck of cards. Everybody knows how to play at least one game.

Movies and videos. You can buy a video player that plugs into your car's cigarette lighter. It's a small screen and the sound isn't great but whoever's not driving will love it!

Pillows. When travelling with kids it makes a big difference. You'd be surprised how much faster kids fall asleep when they have something soft and familiar to rest their heads on.
